The International Guest House (IGH), was founded in 80’s precisely 1980 in Thamel, here in Kathamandu, it contains only 13 rooms and it was intended to be used as a small family business. But that isn’t the case as the hotel has now grown into one of the major hotels in Kathamandu. It has also been picked as one of Lonely Planet’s top four Hotels for five years and running, this is between (2008-2009), a stunning feat is that it has been given excellent rating by more than 50 travellers on Trip Advisor website.

One of the latest inclusions for leisure of our esteem guests aside the Dachi Appa bricksthat are made in Bhaktapur and old wood carving dating back to 100years, as well as a peaceful location, is the beautiful enclaves for your early morning breakfast and evening relaxation, this utilizes the rarest of windows only found in Temples in Durbar Square. This is also a major point of attraction in our garden.

A major service which is also a highlight of our hotel is the variety of the menu. The garden restaurant in our hotel offers great breakfasts, lunch and dinner in a serene environment. This serves Nepalese, Indian, Chinese, Continental and many other food items which are prepared by our expertly trained cooks. The foods are also hygienic and healthy, most of all its delicious.
